Crystal Palace FC at Selhurst Park
Selhurst Park is the home of Premier league football club Crystal Palace FC. It's in the south London suburb of South Norwood near Croydon. The stadium opened in 1924 and with a capacity has a capacity of 26,000, but the atmosphere created by Crystal Palace fans can make it feel a lot busier - dressed in the club's distinctive red and blue strip, they bring a huge amount of colour and passion to home matches.
Book early and you can get to see a premiership match between some of the best teams in the UK.
The Fairfield Halls and Ashcroft Theatre
Having undergone a £42m renovation over the last 3 years, Fairfield Halls has once again opened it's doors to an adoring public.
With theatres, concert halls, community space and lots more besides it's a real boon to the area and well worth a visit. Check out the listings section of their website and see if there is something to interest you while you visit the area.

East Croydon Station is a busy transport hub. Trains run 24/7 into Central London and London Gatwick Airport.

Croydon's landmark shopping centre. A great mix of high street stores and independent shops which bring you a wide choice of goods to choose from. Soon to be demolished and replaced with a Westfield shopping center. Well worth a visit if you are planning on a shopping trip.
The Oval Tavern
One of Croydon's premier Live Music pubs and just a ten minute walk away - there seems to be something going on every night so check their website for latest listings. Food is great with a vegetarian bias and the real ale is excellent. In the summer their walled garden is an experience in itself.

The Builders Arms
A great public house in the 'local pub' tradition and like a true local, it's just around the corner.
Serving a fine selection of Fullers ales and with a good menu of tasty food this is a great place for dinner or just a beer.

A typical example of one of London's great open spaces, Lloyds park is 114 acres of woodland, grassland, playing fields and a mixture of activities for all the family.
Well maintained and often having events and community activities it's a great place to visit if you want to stretch your legs.
